Short Description: The project aims at raising awareness about the necessity to protect, preserve and promote cultural heritage in general and the inscribed World Heritage sites in particular. The project furthermore aims at demonstrating the value of non-formal education as an approach to disseminate the values to a large public and to young people in particular.

Short Description: The aim of the project is to work against social exclusion of children and adolescents in communities of “Internally displaced people”, IPD-communities. AYAFE is working directly with IDP’s in Azerbaijan and feels that EVS-volunteers will bring an important additional benefit to this work.

Short Description: The goal of the project is to raise awareness of young people on different issues such as sustainability, social inclusion, human rights and others through possibility to experience art and be creative, discuss about role and place of art in modern urban space, and how young people can contribute in creating modern urban space – linking it to active citizenship. Special component in this area is history, and activities aimed to remember and preserve local history and culture. Volunteer activities will be develop in cooperation SVIT partner organizations in Kharkov such as City Art Gallery, Holocaust museum, Association of Graphic Designers “4th Block”, cinema club “Cosmofilm”, Polish cultural center and others. other institutions in sphere of volunteering

Short description:
The project brings together young volunteers and elderly people who were subjected to political repression in the Soviet period. The vol helps elderly people in their every day life. They are lonely and have few social links, the volunteer has a very important function enriching their life. While doing different household jobs for the elderly and communicating with them, the volunteer gets to know about the political history of Russia, about the conditions in which victims of political repression live today. Besides, the volunteer gets to know the work of the non-commercial sector in Russia.
